TENNIS AND WATCHES. CHAPTER ONE: RAFAEL NADAL

This week we will be talking about the expensive partnership of the watch brands and tennis players.
In this article we will share with you the stunning Richard Mille design for Rafael Nadal, the RM 027.

The 21th of May last year Richard Mille and Rafa Nadal launched the RM027 Tourbillon design specially for the player featuring a carbon-composite case and lithium alloys and a polycarbonate strap, which are just fancy ways of saying that it's really, really light. It weighs just 20 grams (equivalent to about eight pennies) so Nadal can wear it during matches. The watch was given to him as part of a sponsorship deal, not bad taking into consideration that the only the watch is valued in $525,000.00 Dollars, do you want to make the math for the cost of a gram of this watch????

This Pieces are a limited Edition of 50 units and the first time worn by the current No 2 of the world (No 1 at the time) was in the French Open.  Game that he won 6-2, 6-2, 6-2 over Gianni Mina, well it seams that you can play even with 20grams extra weight!!!

The story has gone so well for both Richard Mille And Rafa Nadal that recently a new model has being launched sponsoring the player the RM035. Based  on a Tonneau case in magnesium-aluminum alloy, this skeletonized model is chronofiable certified, which means that the RMUL1 caliber used for this model is able to withstand many extreme conditions without experiencing any effects on its performance. It is also certified to withstand shocks according to the norm ISO 1413.

This new model is considerably more “affordable” tan the previous one, his price is 85,000.00 Dollars.

We leave you here with the launching event video of the watch.
